Gero Onsen Yamagataya
The ryokan is located in the center of Japan, about 2 hours from Nagoya. It also offers excellent access to Kanazawa and Hida-Takayama.
We look forward to welcoming you with Gero Onsen's famous hot springs, seasonal cuisine made with local ingredients, and cordial hospitality that hasn't changed since the ryokan was founded in 1804.
Surrounded by nature that changes with the seasons, Gero Onsen is a place where you can enjoy the historic culture of Japan. Explore 14 waterfalls at "Osaka Falls." Visit "Gero Onsen Gassho-mura," where you'll see scenery from olden times that's reminiscent of Japanese folktales. Enjoy a beautiful fireworks festival in the summer. Make your trip a wonderful experience.
Gero Onsen is one of the three most renowned hot springs in Japan. The hot spring water feels great on your skin and has benefits for health and beauty. Have a luxurious time and relax in a spacious communal bath, or to the sounds of the babbling Hida River in an open-air one.
Eat your fill of fresh local vegetables, seafood directly delivered from the market, and "Hida Beef." We serve Kaiseki cuisine for dinner, and a Japanese set meal for breakfast.
Choose from different types of rooms: Japanese-style rooms, Japanese/Western-style rooms, or special rooms.
